2014 RJL Class

2014 RJL Faculty included Mohan Sawhney, Harry Kraemer, Jr., Marian Powers, Brian Uzzi
Thank you for an extraordinary week of learning and engagement. The selection of top level speakers was brilliant. The Conference filled in many gaps for me and also allowed me to explore some of the unknowns that I would like to continue learning. You have changed my life and thus my community forever.

My biggest take away is that I AM the value based thought leader who is to raise the important questions, think about the direction of the congregation and drive a vision-based process of change.

- Daniel Gropper, Rabbi Community Synagogue of Rye, Rye, New York (Reform synagogue)

High value Program with good anticipated return for time used. Excellent range of subject matter. Excellent faculty. Well organized.

- Joe Singer, President Adath Israel, Merion Station, PA (Conservative synagogue)

I especially appreciated the participation of all denominations as we rarely have the opportunity to encounter each other.

- Gayle Pomerantz, Rabbi Temple Beth Shalom, Miami Beach, Florida (Reform synagogue)

Lots of useful information was shared -- I'm returning home with pages of Action Items which will enhance my rabbinate.

- Daniel Fellman, Rabbi Temple Concord, Syracuse, New York (Reform synagogue)

I have participated in a number of professional development courses and no other seminar offers the depth and excellence that RJL does. As the Program concludes, I can already feel it changing how I operate as a leader.

- Joshua Ben-Gideon, Rabbi Beth Israel Center, Madison, Wisconsin ("A traditional synagogue")

RJL really helps me cultivate leadership and management skills. Thank you!

- Ruth Balinsky Friedman, Maharat Ohev Shalom: The National Synagogue, Washington D.C. (Orthodox synagogue)

We are so often caught up in the weeds of daily tasks. This course will help me take a step back and take a more executive approach to leadership that I believe will make us more directed as a congregation.

- Rachel Gurevitz, Rabbi Congregation B'nai Shalom, Westborough, MA (Reform synagogue)

It was truly an honor and incredibly constructive to learn with such thoughtful and engaging teachers and colleagues. Learning with Jewish Leaders from different geographic and ideological backgrounds also was extremely helpful.

- Ron Muroff, Rabbi, Chisuk Emuna Congregation, Harrisburg, PA (Conservative synagogue)
